Staff and students at The Hills Christian Community School in Verdun will benefit from a project that will deliver a new junior secondary school building, funded as part of the federal government's Capital Grants Program. Federal Senator for South Australia Andrew McLachlan said the Australian Government would provide $800,000 towards the project at the school.

"Students and staff at The Hills Christian Community School will benefit from the construction of a junior secondary school for Years 7 and 8 comprising four general learning areas, a breakout space, a staff office and two meeting rooms," Andrew said.

"The Hills Christian Community School has a wonderful school community and these new facilities will further enhance the learning environment.

"Students and teachers thrive when their schools have modern and up-to-date facilities. That's why the federal government is proud of the Capital Grants Program, which has helped thousands of schools across the nation to build new and updated infrastructure.

"I congratulate The Hills Christian Community School on their successful grant application and look forward to seeing the positive impact these new facilities will have on the school community."
