$800,000 funding for Verdun school building | The Courier

Hills Christian Community School in Verdun will benefit from an $800,000 cash injection to construct a junior secondary school building for Years 7 and 8 as part of the Federal Government's capital grants program.

The capital grants program provides funding to non-government schools in order to improve their infrastructure.

Facilities included in the building will be four general learning areas, a breakout space, a staff office and two meeting rooms.

Senator Andrew McLachlan said Hills Christian Community School is a "wonderful community" and its learning environments would be enhanced by the funding.

"I congratulate them on their successful grant applications and look forward to seeing the positive impact these new facilities will have."
